SIRENIS AQUAGAMES • WEST COAST

By the middle of summer, a day at a water park is always an easy sell. Sirenis Aquagames sits in Port des Torrent, with slides and pools for different ages, so younger kids can spend the day splashing and playing while bigger kids have plenty to keep going back to. It is part of Sirenis Seaview Country Club, but day passes mean you don’t need to be staying at the hotel to use it.

Among the family-friendly places in Ibiza, this is an easy one to keep for a full summer day. The pass also gives access to the hotel pool and lounge area, so there is no need to stay inside the water park from morning until closing. Set up by the pool, head into Aquagames for the slides, come back out for a swim or something to eat, then inevitably get talked into another round before going home.

A FULL DAY OF WATER

There is enough inside Aquagames for a mix of ages, which makes it particularly useful when kids aren’t all at the same stage. Between the slides, pools and water play areas, they can spend hours moving around the park, with a small wooden play area providing a rare break from being wet.

Changing rooms are clean and well kept, and there are vending machines for drinks and snacks. Full-day passes are available, along with half-day entry from 2pm and an option that includes lunch. Residents receive a 10% discount, which makes it reasonably priced for something that can fill most of the day.

POOL DAYS & PEAK SUMMER

Being able to use the hotel pool and lounge area makes a big difference. Sunbeds and parasols give everyone somewhere to return to between trips into the water park, and it is easy to split the day between the two rather than spending six or seven hours following kids from slide to slide.

July and August need a little more planning. Sunbeds and parasols can be difficult to find if you arrive late, so getting there early is worthwhile if you want a base for the day. Aquagames generally operates during the summer season, with opening times and pass options worth checking directly before visiting as these can change.

WHAT LINGERS

Wet footprints everywhere. Kids deciding which slide is next before they’ve finished the last one, disappearing up the steps again and emerging a few seconds later in another enormous splash.

At least once every summer.
